FSSC 22000

FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System

The FSSC 22000 system uses a management systems approach to food safety, using ISO 22000 for the management system requirements and ISO Technical Standards (for prerequisite program requirements). The food safety management system integrates nicely with other management systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

What is scope scope?

Already developed food safety system certification - food manufacturing companies for the process or manufacture of animal products (excluding slaughter and pre-slaughtering), vegetable products, shelf life and food ingredients such as additives, vitamins and bio-cultures.

Who is the scheme for?

The standards are designed for food manufacturing companies that supply or will supply their products to a well known food retail or food company.

Companies that have been certified to ISO 22000 standard will only need to review the addition to PAS 220 in order to comply with the FSSC22000 certification scheme.

Accepted by Buyer

Many manufacturing companies have difficulty meeting customer requirements. This requires a lot of audits and systems so the costs can be high. Because FSSC22000 is approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), it enables the company to get FSSC22000 certification in order to meet the requirements of internationally recognized, internationally renowned food retailers or food safety management systems.
